We Confirm Your Ship Date

After payment is confirmed, we'll email you within a few hours to confirm your ship date. Ship dates are typically 3–7 days from order date, depending on breed availability and season.

• Spring (March–May): order 1–2 weeks in advance
• Summer/Fall: usually 3–5 days available
• You choose your preferred ship day of the week
• We'll send tracking info on ship day

Every Bird Is Health-Checked & NPIP Certified

On your ship day, our experienced team performs a full health inspection of every bird. Each bird is NPIP-certified (Pullorum-Typhoid tested clean) before it leaves our Texas farm. Vaccination is administered if selected at checkout.

Birds are packed in USDA-approved shipping boxes featuring double-wall insulation, built-in ventilation holes, water gel packs for hydration, and organic bedding for comfort and grip. Our packing system has been perfected over 22 years.

USPS Priority Mail Express Shipping

Birds ship via USPS Priority Mail Express — the fastest available mail service. Tracking number is sent to your email and phone the moment the shipment is dropped off. Domestic delivery: 1–2 business days. International: varies by country.

Your Post Office Calls You at Arrival

USPS post offices are required to call you the moment live poultry arrives — typically between 6–9am. You must pick up same day to ensure your birds' health and wellbeing. Bring a cardboard carrier or breathable box for transport.

• Post office calls your number on file immediately
• Same-day pickup required — do not delay
• If you miss the call, call your post office directly
• Most post offices will hold birds in a back room out of public areas

Welcome Your New Flock Home

When you get home with your birds, open the box immediately in a warm, draft-free area. The first 24–48 hours are critical for settling your new flock. Our free care guide (included in every order) walks you through everything step by step.

• Offer clean water immediately — add electrolytes if possible
• Feed within 2 hours of arrival
• Keep chicks at 95°F; adults at room temperature
• Monitor for 48 hours for signs of stress
• Quarantine from existing flock for 2–4 weeks
